“Her eyes were filled with shocking sad tears and wistfully off into the calming sea. She looks lost but found at the same time”

The still-alive person in a relationship will be in mourning after the death of his/her partner. This is a feeling of grief, sorrow, and sadness experienced due to the loss. This person might go through disbelief panic, and numbness. This person will likely feel bad about being the one who is left living. He/She could eventually even become resentful with the partner for leaving him/her. These emotions are all prevalent. There are no rules and proper ways regarding how this person should feel.

There are a variety of feelings after the passing of a partner including loneliness, loss of intimacy, and feeling someone’s presence. If the person has a strong connection with their partner, it is tough to disregard that their presence is no longer around. This is due to their long to be with their partner and the intimacy and closeness they used to be when together. Moreover, likely, the still-alive person would also feel the one who has passed away is actually beside them through sensing the familiar scent, hearing the voice of that person echoed in the ear or even seeing that person act as they did when they were alive. In the beach scene, we illustrate Emma’s feelings through the diegetic sound of Kreacher’s voice echoing in her mind as he reads the letter to confess his love to her. What’s more, the beach is the place where the couple used to spend a lot of time together and have some of their favorite memories of one another. Emma went to the beach, where there were plentiful amounts of nostalgic recollections between the two of them, to relive the closeness and a place where she was connected to him since his death had brought her overwhelming anguish that she was unable to accept the fact that he is gone.

People who are in grief tend to tear up easily and can have: sleep disorders, loss of appetite, problems with concentration, and a hard time making decisions.

------
First, not getting enough sleep can affect appetite and metabolism in a way that can lead to weight gain. Therefore, the Emma character would have a puffy cheek to show that she has been swollen after the death of her partner, Kreacher. Besides, changes in appearance also include premature skin aging with some deep lines marking her face. Those skin wrinkles would exaggerate Emma's tiredness from stressing for a long time cause of the passing of her partner.

Next, sleep deprivation also causes mental health problems in which the person is more likely to get depressed, anxiety, and struggle with emotion management which makes it harder for that person to cope with stress. When the stress grows intense, that person could experience hallucinations and delirium. In the scene where Emma is standing at the coast, as the effect of depression from lack of sleep, she can’t hold back her tears where the vast, deep, blue sea, reminiscent of him, Kreacher. Again, the effect of hallucinations from severe insomnia has made Emma hear the voice of Kreacher and gives her the illusion of his presence by her side as she replies to his poem like the way she replies to a real living person that is staying with her at the moment.

Then, in the scene where Emma places the book down, she looks at it for a while as it is hard to consider whether to keep it or leave all the memories behind. It is like the hidden message that she is deciding on living with the pain or committing suicide to give the end to all the pain sequence right away.

One of the recording factors that lead to the higher likeliness of a person’s suicide includes experiencing a recent life crisis, especially the death of a loved one. Before deciding on suicide, the person might have gone through long-lasting sadness and mood swings because they are suddenly trapped in a stressful and traumatic situation in which they don't know how to get out. Unbearable pain is normally known as a key factor raising the risk of suicide. To show that Emma is suffering a lot from the crisis which causes excessive crying, we would do some makeup for the actress to create puffy eyes and blotchy skin.

Furthermore, lack of sleep as the influence of the crisis is also a warning sign that the person may be thinking of ending their life. The appearance of a restless sleeper would involve paler skin, more wrinkles, and droopy corners of her mouth. In addition, to create a significantly fatigued look the appearance of Emma would also include hanging eyelids, redder eyes, more swollen eyes, darker circles under the eyes, and more lines around the eyes. Although depression has increased the rate of aging affects appearance, the person affected by the following crisis would be less concerned about their appearance which we would ensure the makeup on Emma’s character is just to exaggerate the sadness and not to cover any of her facial features.

“Suicide rates increased approximately 36% between 2000–2021. Suicide was responsible for 48,183 deaths in 2021, which is about one death every 11 minutes.3 The number of people who think about or attempt suicide is even higher. In 2021, an estimated 12.3 million American adults seriously thought about suicide, 3.5 million planned a suicide attempt, and 1.7 million attempted suicide.” According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

One of the main causes of death is to commit suicide. The World Health Organisation estimates that one million people globally commit suicide each year. Suicide is a complicated phenomenon with many different potential risk categories and legitimate theories for prevention and scientific explanation. However, a fundamental fact regarding psychiatry is that nearly all individuals (approximately 90%) had some mental disease at the time of death, generally multiple ones, according to multiple psychological autopsy studies. Of all completed suicides, those with a history of mood problems account for between half and two-thirds. This indicates that preventing suicides by those with mood problems is essential to preventing suicides in general.

The reason why we mentioned suicide in our media as we hope to raise awareness for the audience about the concern of suicide and that people need to care more about the people around them if they have any of the potential symptoms that could lead to suicide.

“Suicide is preventable and everyone has a role to play to save lives and create healthy and strong individuals, families, and communities.” According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Overview,

The majority of femme fatales are Caucasian, and their physical attributes have consistently reflected the ideal form of the time. In America complying with World War II, a busty, hourglass shape was prized, and some of the most well-known sex icons during their respective decades were Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth, and Marilyn Monroe (Matelski 2). Resemblingly, the hourglass form has become popular again in the late 2010s. However, many femme fatales nowadays just have the characteristics of a 90s supermodel: a tall, slender body, Eurocentric facial features, and a tiny waist.

Points of reasons

Female viewers are influenced by femme fatales on TV to hold certain beauty standards. For the femme fatale to seduce and ultimately lead the male protagonist to his demise, she must possess a certain level of desire, according to the rules set by film noir. Given that the femme fatale is the pinnacle of what an attractive lady of the era looks like, it is reasonable that she has such a strong influence on women. However, it is unlikely that femme fatales will no longer have a part in setting the absurd body standards that women must adhere to in the foreseeable future.

The femme fatale conjures images of seduction and destruction that go hand in hand. The female’s sex attempt is her first and most important, and could also be the only weapon in the effort to dominate over men. That's precisely how her character image is developed to such a threat to the men in the made-up universe in which she lives as everything the woman's sexuality touches is destroyed, regardless of whether she is portrayed as the antagonist, the winner, or simply a destructive force. There must always be a death. As well as women in actual society can also be threatened by the dangerous image of the character as they would consider sexualized details as a key element for an ideal life among females. Instead, they can truly improve their living standard both materially and spiritually by paying attention to knowledge, mental well-being, sincerity within relationships, etc. in the process of becoming mature.

The femme fatale products are seen as hyper-sexualized and regarded by a male based on the premises which assume a powerful woman as a black widow who is always ready and willing to mate and kill and shoot down. Basically, this premise is developed from the fear of female sexual liberation and the potential capability to deprive a man of his main role. This is why femme fatale couldn’t be seen as a beauty standard or an empowering icon among women.
Normally, in most of the drama when the female character encounters an unwanted situation, she will become obsessive and come up with a cruel revenge plan to destroy the person who put her in the following situation. Even though she needs healing therapy to return to her normal life, her instability is portrayed negatively, and her thoughts of suicide are explained as deception. The original version of her revenge is known as “bunny boiler” but then exaggerates to “crazy bitch” because from the moment she ceases to please men, she is deemed unwanted and, hence, condemned. Therefore, our female lead, Emma does not try to harm anyone who contributes to the death of Kreacher but to rid herself of all the bad things and in the end, she decides to commit suicide.

We would like to break the double standard of beauty and mindset the femme fatale has established and widely spread within society to define and measure the value of a woman. A person's value must be determined based on the foundation of the moral standard instead of a fixed set of visual appearance standard or how satisfying that person are meant to please any of us.

Although the femme fatale is preferred by many filmmakers nowadays due to its ability to attract male audiences and increase revenue, this trope has great potential to form distorted perceptions of ethical issues for audiences. The initial objective of every released media product is to entertain people and enhance their mental lives through diverse forms and concepts of media. Therefore, the femme fatale has somehow gone against this primary objective and caused the mental being of people to become even worse such as low self-esteem and loss of confidence when comparing ourselves to the common beauty standard or cannot accept the normal psychological developments of a person during adulthood or during a certain event, etc. This has raised the tendency to abandon one's own values to pursue things that are not suitable for oneself, leading to a series of psychological problems which also leads to the rise of suicide rate each year.

"It's time to give up on sloppy writing which constantly assigns responsibility to the feminine and avoid focus shifting to the model that categorizes women into stereotypes. Meanwhile, the screenwriter should work harder on identifying the insight of which topic male individuals get attached to. Through those insights, filmmakers can create sustainable value details for the media products which create a premise for flourishing movies specifically for male audiences."
